| Title | Letter from F W [Frank Watson] Dyson, Royal Observatory, Greenwich, to [Joseph] Larmor |
| Creator | Dyson; Sir Frank Watson (1868 - 1939); British astronomer |
| Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
| Date | 2 November 1922 |
| Description | Praising the work of [William Michael Herbert] Greaves at the Royal Observatory, despite the short time he was there. Dyson has been looking at a short paper that Greaves and [Charles Rundle] Davidson have written for the R.A.S. [Royal Astronomical Society] about the possible effect of dispersion on parallax work. Dyson does not know about his mathermatics, but Greaves seemed 'a very keen and intelligent man who took a thorough delight in his work'. |
