|Description||Tabulated meteorological observations recorded at the Cape of Good Hope [South Africa] covering the period 1 June 1834 to 31 December 1834. The table displays barometer and thermometer readings at sunrise, noon, sunset and midnight for each date.|

Whilst the Royal Society declined to publish this paper in full, an abstract of the paper was published in volume 3 of Abstracts of the Papers Printed in the Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London [later Proceedings of the Royal Society] as 'Meteorological journal kept at the Royal Observatory, cape of good hope, from the 1st of February to the 31st of May, 1834'.
