DescriptionTabulated meteorological observations recorded at the Cape of Good Hope [South Africa] covering the period 1 June 1834 to 31 December 1834. The table displays barometer and thermometer readings at sunrise, noon, sunset and midnight for each date.

Whilst the Royal Society declined to publish this paper in full, an abstract of the paper was published in volume 3 of Abstracts of the Papers Printed in the Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London [later Proceedings of the Royal Society] as 'Meteorological journal kept at the Royal Observatory, cape of good hope, from the 1st of February to the 31st of May, 1834'.
