TitleUnpublished paper, 'Researches on isomeric alkaloids' by C [Charles] Greville Williams
DescriptionWilliams aims to answer two questions with his paper: whether the base produced by destructive distillation of cinchonine, and having the formula C7 H9'"N, is isomeric or identical with the lutidine from Dippel’s oil [bone oil]; and how far the chinoline series of bases, isomeric with the leukoline series, extends beyond lepidine.

Subject: Chemistry

Received 12 May 1864. Read 16 June 1864.

Whilst the Royal Society declined to publish this paper in full, an abstract of the paper was published in volume 13 of Abstracts of the Papers Printed in the Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London [later Proceedings of the Royal Society] as 'Researches on isomeric alkaloids'.
