DescriptionSeries of paintings divided into four 'compartments'. The first compartment shows the male organs of the Cypraea. The second compartment shows the female organs of the Cypraea. The third compartment shows the vas deferens and pulmonary cavity of the male Cypraea and the ovary and oviduct of the female Cypraea. The fourth compartment shows the alimentary canal, brain, mandibles, and mucous structure of the Cypraea.
