Description | Letter received by the Royal Society as a result of a statement, titled 'A Curious Fact' (see AP/10 for description). Tilley quotes the problem as read in the Sherborne Paper on 23 September 1833, and then provides his solution, explaining that the downward pressure exerted on the cards is much heavier than the upward pressure created by blowing through the tube.
