DescriptionRonald reports on a sighting of a meteor through the roof of the observatory in Cape of Good Hope at 10 o'clock in the evening on 19 October 1829. Ronald describes seeing a blaze of light and hearing a loud report in the same direction. He also describes the weather on the day it occurred.
