TitleUnpublished letter, regarding the recovery of treasure from the wreck of HMS Thetis from M I [Marc Isambard] Brunel to J G [John George] Children
Date15 May 1834
DescriptionBrunel suggests that the Royal Society should not publish Thomas Dickinson's account of the recovery of treasure from the wreck of HMS Thetis due to the fact that his account has already been published in the Nautical Magazine. He further suggests that the Society should give no publicity to de Roos's account of the recovery as they have 'added nothing to his predecessor's expedients and proceedings'.
