DescriptionLackington writes to Bolton about the 'Seamen Boys', conjoined twins brought from Siam [Thailand] by Captain [Abel] Coffin to the United States and put into the custody of Bolton. He does not describe the boys in any detail, but rather discusses the public interest in them and difficulties with members of the public handling the boys.

These boys, called Chang and Eng, were the origin of the term 'Siamese twins'.
