DescriptionAndré describes his method for creating a solid pink dye that costs the same as saffron dye and can resist damage from vinegar, air, and sun. He does not provide the formula for the dye or mention any ingredients. The paper is preceded by an introductory letter to an unknown recipient explaining André's discovery of the dye. A sample of dyed pink silk is located in a separate envelope at the front of the volume.
