DescriptionBrayley continues with research that was previously presented to the Royal Society (see AP/47/1). In this paper he writes on the luminous atmosphere of the Sun, the exterior of the photosphere and on 'the probability that the monochromatic spectrum from which Mr Huggins has inferred the gaseous constitution of certain nebula, are due, in reality to the luminous atomspheres of their constitutent stars or suns'.
