DescriptionLetter from Pearse regarding a Persian book on natural history titled 'Wonders of the Creation', focusing particularly on astronomy, sent to the Royal Society. Pearse explains that the book was compiled from books of science, voyages, and travels by 'the Arabians'. He draws comparisons between Western knowledge of astronomy and the solar system and the astronomy described in the book. Small annotations appear in graphite throughout.

A small paper slip just before the letter reads, '41 Discussion of some speculative point on Arabian astronomy' and below, 'The book which accompanied this is given to the RS Dec 9 1784'.
