DescriptionWildbore thanks Banks for a letter containing kind remarks on his manuscript on spherical motion (see AP/7/16). He states that he waited to respond to the letter until he had further elucidations on his paper, but writes that he had decided to rewrite the paper entirely with new elucidations and alterations.

A mostly illegible ink inscription bottom left in another hand discusses 'elucidations' and includes the date 'Decr 18 88'.
