DescriptionHas been leading a quiet life with only her children and Lord John Cavendish for company. Wishes Blaggen to write to her. Asks after his health and for any "chemical, mineralogical or philosophical novelty". Asks has he heard from Naples. Has not yet seen Mr Knight's book. Mr Graves has offered to show her his drawings as she would like to compare her notes on Rome. Sends her compliments to Mr Cavendish. Her children and the Duke are well, "I live a very quiet, stupid, but I believe wholesome life" although she describes how she misses Italy. Lady Bessborough sends delightful accounts, she finds the Palmerstons very helpful.
