Dined with "the famous Mr Bruce" this week, gives a physical description, says that his conversation if "not to be compared with my friend Banks". Discusses his coming into the country and thanks her for her invitation to Bradley, asks if there is anything she would like him to bring. Gives news of Phipps and his visit to Newcastle to discuss his representing the burghers.
