DescriptionThanks Blagden for his letter, sorry to hear that he will not be visiting Brighton. If he had come he would have heard Mrs Siddons read to her and her uncle. Describes Mrs Siddons and her reading of Shakespeare and Paradise Lost, she talked much of the stage and of her theatrical career with many entertaining anecdotes. She has now gone to her cottage at Westbourne. Gives news of Lady Thomond and others of their acquaintance. Discusses the weather and the war with France.
