DescriptionCannot consider complaint against him that he has put Gentlemen into the Council nor does he wonder at the names of his opponents as they have all had their papers repulsed and probably want them printed in the Philosophical Transactions. Discusses accusations against him. Rejects proposition that President is to be the president of a debating club and defends himself using the statutes. If he has no support he will resign, "Cool headed people will consider the real advantage of the Society if it is judged for the advantage of it that I remain I shall. If not I shall retire to my plough without a fight."
