DescriptionEncloses three papers: a letter from Mr Wandilove at Madrid reporting that the King of Spain was pleased with their present and that Don Pedro D'Avila is a Peruvian and promises to do everything which the Royal Society may request of him for the promotion of science; extracts from a book printed at Mexico on the natural history of that country; a letter from Lieutenant Blankett that shows that another ten lines will procure them the natural production of Rafia. Discusses relations between Committee of Natural History and Members of Council of the Royal Society. Has not yet seen Sir Charles account of the Russian discovery to the North but will lay them before the Royal Society in his next paper along with several other new facts from navigators in high northern latitudes. Discusses plants sent from Virginia county.
