DescriptionWrote two weeks ago but is now writing again as Mr Hall will convey his letter. Asks Blagden to thank Mr Thomson for sending his fifth volume. Discusses indication in Blagden's letter that he is in low spirits, recommends that he travel. Received a letter from Mr Chenevix that he will arrive on 25 October. Sends with Mr Hall volumes of "Memoires [de Physique et de Chimie] de la Societé d'Arcueil" for himself the Royal Society and Mr Thomson, will send the others another time. Mr Biot, who is about to depart for Spain, sends his compliments as does Mr Laplace, it was the meeting of their Society today. With note by M Hall that he is remaining in Paris and that M Bourdoin will deliver Berthollet's letter along with one from Mr Dellessert, he will send the books by some other opportunity.
