DescriptionTo Berthollet, 19 April 1791. Has received copies of Berthollet's work on dyeing. Gives news of papers communicated to the Royal Society. Asks him to convey a message to DeLalande concerning publication of paper. Congratulates Lavoisier on his late appointment.
To William Lewis, 22 April 1791. Concerning experiments on iron and discusses plans for the summer and tentative plan to travel to Glamorganshire rather than to the Continent.
To R Hale, 13 May 179. Gives news to his brother of political situation and imminent war. Discusses Miss Clarke's inheritance. Gives a message for Mr Lewis. Discusses his travel plans.
To Mr Osborn, 13 May 1791. Mr Cavendish will not require translation of the rest of Ramond's paper. Thanks him for his hospitality.
To M Pictet, 17 May 1791. Informs him of his election as a Foreign Member of the Royal Society. If M L'Huilier is also at Geneva asks him to inform him of his election also. Gives news of papers published.
To Mrs Guy, 18 May 1791. Gives news of papers to be publlished in Philosophical Transactions.
To Dr Odier in Geneva, 24 May 1791. Discusses political situation and spread of republicanism.
