DescriptionHas been suffering from a headache and could not write before now. Wishes to rectify a mistake in her account of experiments at Dr Beddoes concerning an experiment with an "oxygenated puppy". Gives Dr Beddoes opinion on oxygenated persons. Received a letter today from her mother in Naples with an account of Vesuvius and its appearance on 17 December, quotes from letter and includes sketch. Very sorry not to be going to Gloucestershire but must go to Clifton to collect her eldest child. Discusses politics and gives her opinion on the war against the French. Hopes that the Palmerstons were well when he heard from them. Her sister's child does not recover as fast as she would wish.
