DescriptionSaw a letter of his at Arcueil concerning Davy's experiments. Discusses repetition of Davy's experiments in front of the Emperor. The Emperor laughed at the French Chemists for letting such a number of discoveries slip through their hands. [Franz Josef] Gall is giving a course of lectures, he is ridiculed in Paris but is firm and imposing. Discusses opposition to Gall. Gives his own favourable opinion of Gall. Asks if Blagden thinks Gall would succeed in London, Gall is anxious to know his opinion. B has written to Blagden via America.
