DescriptionThanks Blagden for his letter and his accounts of the thermometer. Had hoped to see Blagden in London before this time. Laments the resignation of Sir John Pringle as President of the Royal Society. Gives news of a new medical society at Paris, hopes Blagden will be a member one day. Gives news of Dr Fothergill. Believes Blagden's conduct during the campaign will have won him many friends and a ready introduction to practice in London.
