TitleLetter from General Robert Melvill, Brewer Street to Charles Blagden, Gower Street
Date10 February 1785
DescriptionPresents his compliments and asks for Blagden's opinion of his plan, invites him to subscribe and attend lectures if time permits. Next Sunday's meeting will be held upstairs at the British Coffee House.
With draft reply: Thanks General Melville for sending pamphlet, the proposed plan is out of the line of Blagden's studies and he cannot form a proper judgement but he would be unwilling to enter into engagements which might be suspected to intimate a dissatisfaction with the established Church.
