DescriptionInforms the Royal Society that Lord Cromer fears it will not be possible for the Egyptian Government or Soudan [Sudan] Government to provide the considerable sum of money required for the [geodetic] work in Egypt and Soudan to go ahead. Notes that Lord Lansdowne regrets that he is unable to approach the Egyptian Government on the subject with any prospect of success.
