DescriptionInforms William Bate Hardy that, as arranged in person, an official letter is being sent to the Royal Society about the representation of His Majesty's Government at the Pan-Pacific Scientific Congress. Will not communicate with Sir [Gerald] Lenox-Conyngham and the others until the Royal Society has officially agreed with the choices made. Adds a handwritten postscript mentioning that there is nothing much to be done over Sir John Cadman's letter [CD/5/30].
