TitleLetter from Sir William Huggins, to Professor Joseph Larmor, Secretary of the Royal Society
Date11 October 1908
DescriptionReminds the Secretary that in 1870 the Royal Society loaned some instruments (a reflector, telescopes, etc) to Sir William Huggins. Informs them that he is no longer able to make use of the instruments (although they are still in perfect working order), and asks to return them. Discusses where the instruments' new home should be, and has suggested to Professor Newall that the Royal Society would be willing to give the instruments to the Astrophysical Department of Cambridge University, where they could be properly housed and put to effectual use.
