TitleLetter from Charles Walker, Savile Club, Piccadilly, to the Royal Society
Date4 April 1906
DescriptionInforms the Royal Society that the estimate for blocks for two of Walker's papers comes to £10 10s as a maximum price, or about £7 with a change in the white spaces in the drawings. Since the Assistant Secretary's estimate for the blocks was £18, Walker explains that he felt the need to lay this difference before the Assistant Secretary in person, since the price difference was so great. Explains that he came up from Liverpool for this purpose, but the Assistant Secretary declined to see him - notes that it is easier to explain these things in person, and that he was disappointed to waste a journey.
