DescriptionInforms the Foreign Office that the Royal Society advise that Great Britain should participate in the International Seismological Association [congress in Rome in October], provided France also joins. Proposes that unless they learn before 6 September that France will definitely not participate, they will send Professor [Arthur] Schuster to go to Rome as Great Britain's delegate. Consents for Great Britain to adhere to the International Seismological Association for a period of less than four years.
