| Description | Summarises the work of the Conjoint Board of Scientific Societies: its creation in 1916, the aims of the Board to draw up a list of Scientific Periodicals published, its deputation to the Office of Works to give a goivernment site to house allied Technological Societies, its work during the war, gaining greater discretion for scientific publications in censorship during the war, the Watching Committee on Education, gaining grants for Scientific Societies and their publications, work on war conditions and industry, its Committee on the Water Power Resources of the Empire, the Committee on the International Catalogue of Scientific Literature, and the Committee on the Adoption of the Metric System. Concludes that the Board has been involved in many cases and given consideration to every proposal or suggestion brought before it, but that it has always been hampered by lack of funds. Notes that when the Board applied to the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, help was declined. Discusses the Board's finances and expenditure. Advises that the Board is maintained extant for the present transition period, and that the question of its constitution is reconsidered when affairs become more settled.
