Description | Informs the Secretary of State that the Royal Society has been asked to manage and disburse money for an expedition, to carry out anthropological investigations amongst the native tribes of Uganda and British East Africa. Explains that the work will be done by the Reverend John Roscoe, and the party will consist of Roscoe, two 'native helpers' (a clerk and a photographer), and certain porters in Uganda. Explains that Roscoe spent 25 years in Uganda and has devoted much of his leisure time to scientific study there. Asks if the expedition would have the Government's approval. |
