| Description | Explains that the other day, [James George] Frazer met Sir Herbert Reade of the Colonial Office. Notes that Reade felt sympathy for [John] Roscoe's difficulties after landing in Mombasa [for the Mackie Anthropological Expedition], and thought that Roscoe should get the [free travel] passes etc. Notes that Reade asked that the letter from Frazer to Lord Milner on the subject should be sent under cover to him [Reade], who will see the matter through at the Colonial Office. Suggests that they send the letter to Reade. Notes that Frazer and his wife will be leaving England for the Continent next week, and would be glad to know how the matter stands before he goes. |
