DescriptionInforms William Bate Hardy that the Acting Governors of the East Africa and Uganda Protectorates have replied, regarding the Mackie Anthropological Expedition, and are offering the Reverend John Roscoe free railway travel (and refunding his earlier travel). Notes that East Africa cannot, however, admit Roscoe's goods through customs without customs duty. Also notes that they have instructed the Chief Native Commissioner to render all assistance to the expedition. Notes that the Uganda Protectorate has given Roscoe all the assistance he has asked for.
