DescriptionInforms Professor [W. Alison] Phillips that the [British] Academy has appointed a small committee to discuss the question of the Encyclopaedia [Britannica] with representatives of the Royal Society, as well as Mr Hooper and Philipps. The Committee is named as: Lord Bryce, Sir C. Ilbert, the Dean of Westminster, and Philipps, along with another member he cannot recall. Asked the Secretary Professor [Israel] Gollancz to pass this on, but he did not. Discusses arranging a meeting.
