DescriptionInforms the Royal Society that the National Physical Laboratory [NPL] held a special meeting of their executive committee on 16 May, where they discussed: (1) A letter from Sir Frank Heath to the Director of the NPL; (2) A report by the Advisory Council of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research; (3) the official memorandum of that conference, sent to the Director by Heath. Discusses the way the NPL's finances will be managed. Considers the relations between the Royal Society and the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, which both have a hand in managing the NPL.
