TitleLetter from [Sidney] Chapman, Board of Trade, to James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society
Date9 February 1928
DescriptionExplains that it has been suggested there should be an International Convention on Scientific Property on the lines of the enclosed tentative draft, drawn up by a Committee of Experts convened by the International Institute of Intellectual Cooperation in Paris last December [1923]. Explains that the Draft is being referred to the Economic Committee of the League of Nations for their observations. Thinks that before then, a British member of the Economic Committee should be informally advised on the interests and views of this country. Arranges a meeting to discuss this, on 16 February.
