TitleDocuments on the Imperial Scientific Intelligence Service, for the consideration of the Royal Society's Council
Date1925
DescriptionPapers and correspondence relating to a scheme for a suggested Science Publicity Service, otherwise known as a scientific intelligence service for publicity purposes (a 'science news service'). Its objective is to give accurate, intelligible and interesting notes or articles upon important scientific discoveries or developments (for both the public and for scientific workers in isolated areas). Contains letters between the Royal Society and Dr Gilbert Charles Bourne, who is charged with writing a report on whether it is feasible to create such a service in Britain.

Also contains two American Science News Bulletins, likely as examples of what this sort of scientific reporting might look like.
