DescriptionHauksbee shares a brief note regarding his experiments on firing gunpowder in vacuo [see CLP/18i/81 and CLP/18i/82], suggesting that 'a more perfect account may be given of the general phenomena in order to register it' and that 'the experiment is now so contriv'd, that the descent of the gunpowder upon the ignited iron, may be repeated ten or more times if thought necessary'.
