DescriptionExtract titled 'Second account of Dr Ernest Brukmann, doctor of medicine, from the Brunswick Academy, regarding his trip to Germany and Hungary: imperial salt mines in Soowar in Upper Hungary' taken from the 'Assemblage des Evenements de Physique, Medicine, Arts et autre Literature'.

The account details the precise location of Soowar and recounts a visit made by Brukmann to the salt mines in the company of a physician called Poekin. Brukmann describes the process of mining and refining the salt.
