Description | Paper by Ballard regarding recent calcinations by Dr Plott [Robert Plot], including a calcined rosemary stone and a calculus taken out of the bladder of a hog which were found to have magnetic properties. Plott performed his experiments with sea coal, which Ballard suspected caused the magnetism. Ballard repeated the experiment with charcoal and found no magnetic properties.
