| Description | An extract from chapter six, page 30 of Weever's Ancient Funeral Monuments in Britain and the Isles Adjacent, published in London in 1631. The extract describes the discovery of a body in Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire in which all the bones and body cavities were filled with lead. Part of the body were kept in the local church as relics of admiration. Waller's letter, dated 10 September 1728, and Mortimer's subsequent notes discuss the provenance of the bones and the way in which the lead has filled the bones. Includes figure in the text.
