1. Minutes of previous meeting read and signed.

2. Read a minute of the Council meeting of 23 February 1905 in whihc it was resolved that the Council recommends that His Majesty's Government should accept the invitation of the German Government to join the International Seismic organisation, subject to conditions (listed) and the Secretaries were authorised to reply to the Foreign Office

3. Letter from the Board of Education dated 20 June 1905 was read [pasted into minutes] and after discussion it was resolved to report to the Council ' The Seismology Committee having fully considered the documents forwarded by the Board of Education, recommend to the Council:
That H M Government be advised to accede to the request that this country should be represented at the proposed Conference at Berlin, but with a distinct instruction that the alterations agreed to by the Conference held in Frankfort shall be in substance adhered to.

That Great Britain should be represented at the Berlin Meeting by Professor Schuster, who was chairman of the Frankfort Conference, but that it would be desirable that he should be accompanied by a Government official conversant with the German language and with legal matters, who might possibly be a member of the British Embassy at Berliln.'
