TitleLetter from Sir David Bruce, Entebbe, Uganda, to Sir Michael Foster of the Malaria Committee
Date25 March 1903
DescriptionDescribes his journey to Mombasa. Notes that 'little has been done by Castellani' -- attributes this to Castellani working himself into illness on receipt of a telegram 'containing a report of Dr Manson's after-dinner speech at Balfour's farewell dinner' with reference to his research results -- suggests that he and Low be encouraged to furnish full report as soon as they return to England. Describes some 'eccentric' behavior on the part of C Christy, eg throwing eggs at a chief and kicking a goat to death -- suggests that he 'evidently belongs to the old militant type of explorer'. p40.
