Thanks Dale for his letter and J E Barnard for helping to choose a microscope. Thinks that there should be two lines of research, one in filaria and one in nephritis, the filaria to include an analysis of all the bacterial complications through analysis of infected patients. Describes clinical experiments he has conducted on 'febrile patients' and vaccine attempts. Describes his clinical cases with nephritis. Is glad to hear that the Committee has assigned an assistant. Asks for wool and test tubes to be sent. pp3-6.
