Committee business, including membership; awarding of a grant to Dr K Vickerman for travel and technician expenses; a report from Vickerman and the committee's decision to renew his grant for a further year; a report by S Adler FRS on a visit to China, and the committee's decision to recommend that a specialist in schistosomiasis be sent out to China to investigate the problem mentioned; a discussion on the study of tropical diseases, with reference to the Developing Countries Sub-committee and the Leverhulme scholarship, and recommendations that the Society consider appointing a medical officer to visit tropical countries, and encourage liaison between the study of different diseases. p69-71.
