1. Read and signed minutes of previous meeting

2. Results of interviews with University and other authorities at some of the leading provincial educational centres which he had visited lately with reference to the compilation of the cnesus of scientific and technical workers reported by Professor Schuster

3. Following a statement made by Mr Hardy with regqrd to the intentions of the War Badges Department in cases of bilogical claimants, it was agreed;
3.1 That all claims for badges in connexion with medical science be referred to the Medical Research Committee for them to deal with.
3.2 That badges be granted to Protozoologists accepted by the Society's Sub-Committee B on the application of the Acting Director-General of the Royal Army Medical Department, Sir Alfred Keogh
3.3 That a record of badges allotted by the Royal Society be entered on the minutes of this committee.

4. A recent supplementary list of reserved occupations issued by the Board of Trade in which it wa announced that "Analytical, consulting and research chemists are not to be accepted for immediate enlistment or called up for service with the Colours without the cnsent fo the Royal ~Society in each case." drawn to the attention of the Committee. After discussion as to the procedure to be adopted by the Royal Society in exercising the power assigned to them by the above regulatins, it was agreed; "That the Society can only take action in cases referreed to them by the recruiting officers or local tribunals. "

The President informed the Committee that he proposed to nominate a Committee to advise him in any such cases as may arise.

Attached: list of the allotment of badges to date, and the action taken was confirmed.
