Describes committee business -- a resolution to recommend to the Council that A R de Candolle be awarded the Medal for his work on vegetabe physiology -- submitting as the Prize Question 'the laws by which the functions of the different organs belonging to the animal system are associated with each other' -- pointing out to the Council the difficulty of choosing such a question. p41-42.
