TitleCopy, letter from Archibald Geikie, Secretary of the Royal Society, to the Under-Secretary of State, Colonial Office
Date18 May 1908
DescriptionAsks about the size of the laboratory being made ready for Col Bruce's investigation -- notes that it 'must be lined with matchboarding', as in the previous lab 'the members of the Commission had to work in their helmets' to escape the rays of sun -- that it must be within reach of areas where the [tsetse] fly breeds -- that the officers lent by the Army Council will be reporting to the Tropical Diseases Committee of the Society. Suggests that Col Bruce's departure be delayed until mid September. p7-8.
