DescriptionLists those present -- Col Bruce as Chairman, Fleet-Surgeon Bassett-Smith, Sir Archibald Geikie, Professor Klein, and Dr C J Martin, with Dr Johnston in attendance. Gives the committee business:
1. A statement by the Chairman on his trip to Malta. Describes his efforts to pick a suitable laboratory from several sites shown by the Government -- the setting up of the laboratory at the Board of Health, Valetta -- various setbacks including sicknesses of Staff-Surgeon Shaw, Dr Zammit, Major Horrocks and Dr Johnstone, the last two of whom returned to England without consulting the Society. 2. Recommendations based on reports of these events, including asking Staff-Surgeon Shaw, Dr Zammit, and Kennedy to continue their work in Malta, while postponing decisions regarding Major Horrocks and Johnstone.
