DescriptionLists those present -- Col Bruce in the chair, Dr J Eyre, Sir A Geikie, and Fleet-Surgeon Bassett-Smith. Gives committee business -- 1. Signing of last meeting's minutes. 2. Reception of Johnstone's report upon the General Sanitary Circumstances of the Maltese Islands. 3. Consideration of a memo by Dr Power, Medical Officer to the Local Government Board, and from Dr Johnstone, suggesting that Johnstone not be required to go out to Malta over the summer. 4. Agreement that the Director General of the Army Medical Service be asked to let Lieut Col Davies continue the epidemological work. 5. Agreement that the War Office be asked to let Major Horrocks continue his work on the bacteriology of the fever. 6. Agreement to recommend that an English Medical Officer of Health and staff be sent to Malta to help improve reporting of fever cases. 7. Recommendation that Col Bruce visit Malta in the summer. p21-23.
