Resolved that Frederick Scott Archer's request to make casts of the sculpture bust of Mary Somerville be granted, if the operation was not injurious to the original artwork. Letter from Charles Few, Covent Garden, 19 March 1844, to Sir John William Lubbock, full text entered into the minutes: forwarding Wheeler's letter on the donation of land to the Royal Society under the will of Edwin Hill Handley being void due to a decision taken in a similar case involving the British Museum. Letter from Mr. Wheeler, 14 March 1844, to Few and Company, full text entered into the minutes: noting the decision of the Trustees of Edwin Handley's Will, voiding the devise of real estate to the Royal Society, statng their grounds on the method of conveying. Resolved that Mr. Few should take advice from an eminent Counsel on the issue. Resolved that a Committee be formed to inquire into applicants for the position of Attendant to the Assistant Secretary.
